I bought this synthesizer in 2024 more for its keybed action, which is fantastic, and for its 76 keys. The sounds are pretty good and there are plenty of it. The only downside is its poor quality LCD display. And forget the iPad app editor since it is no longer available on Apple Store. Roland discontinued it.

This might be my favorite modern mono synth. All the behrjnger clone pale jn comparison. Patch memory and such a nice sequencer is really great. Gonna pair it with a digitakt 2.

Those people at Roland are such hacks! They leave outside all the stuff that should be in the synth upon buying and then they make you pay extra for it. The definition of sneaky stealing! That is why they lost respect from their customers and from being Nr.1 company they fell into not making it to the top 10 of people's choice anymore. Wake up Roland, Nobody likes THIEVES..

I have a modwave since 1 Year now. It is not easy to engage with. Other Synths in my studio are much faster to get good sounds with. But its Part of the technology with Wavetable, if you invest much time you get those magic sounds you are searching for. In terms of modulation its the most complex i ever owned.

i bought JV 1080 some month ago and learned it and its unbelivable good packed with great sounds.. that shocked me was the acoustic guitars.. and everything else is amazing.. plugins are good.. but THIS is best
